Cleaning Wooden Venetian Blinds
The following tips should keep your wooden venetian blinds looking like brand new for many years to come.
Before cleaning take place its always a good idea to lay down an old sheet beneath the blind to be cleaned. This should be taken outside and shaken well after every blind cleaned.
The best advice is to clean at regular intervals. This avoids a build up dust and worse still, a layer of grease, more difficult to maintain. We recommend a light dusting once a week. A feather duster is good for light work. Fully close the venetian blind and dust from the top working side to side all the way down to the bottom. Once complete, adjust the tilt to fully closed again, but in the opposite direction, repeating the process. Cloth wool or magnet dusters also good for this. For greasy build ups use a damp cloth or baby wipe using the same method.
